Your Orientation Checklist

Congratulations and Welcome!

We are looking forward to meeting you at Orientation.

There are a number of quick tasks for you to get done before you join us. This will ensure you are set up and ready to go at Orientation.

Let’s get started!

Step 1: Register for Orientation

Registration is essential.

Orientation will be held in the week before classes, however, you are more than welcome to visit us on campus in the meantime if you have any questions or concerns. Our reception is open 9am – 4pm Monday – Friday.

In the weeks leading up to Trimester commencing, once you have accepted your offer to study with us, you will receive an invitation to register for Orientation.

Step 2: Digital Campus

How to log in to the Digital Campus

The Digital Campus is where you can:

  • Select your classes
  • Create your timetable
  • Access your College emails
  • View your course information
  • Book appointments with support staff

You can log into the Digital Campus via the login details below. Please note: some services may not yet be available for you to access.

  • Your username is your Griffith College Student ID (8 digits long, located on your Offer Letter)
  • Your password and instructions are located in your Offer Letter.

Note: Domestic students can log into the Digital Campus 24 hours after acceptance. International students will be able to log in once their visa has been granted.

Step 3: Selecting your timetable

How to enrol in classes

Enrolment is a process where you will select your classes and build your timetable for the trimester. This is separate to your acceptance.

Check your emails for updates on enrolment opening!

You may not be able to enrol in your classes straight away. Enrolment opens for new students at a specific time and day each trimester; you can find out what date this will be on our Key Dates page.

In the days leading up to enrolment opening, you will be invited to attend an “Enrolment Webinar” which will explain the steps to enrolling in classes.

You can also find step-by-step information on the Digital Campus.

Note: Your timetable can be changed up until close of enrolment.

Step 4: Your Student Email

How to access your student emails

Your student email is the main way we will contact you with important information and reminders about deadlines. Make sure you check it daily, and read all of the emails we send to you!

To set up your account:

  • Log in to the Digital Campus (see Step 2)
  • Click on the “envelope” icon (next to the drop down menus up the top) and follow the prompts

Your email address is:

<STUDENTNUMBER>@portal.griffithcollege.edu.au

For example, a student that logs into the Digital Campus with username 12345678, would have the email 12345678@portal.griffithcollege.edu.au.

Step 5: Your S-Number

How to set up your S-Number

Your S-Number is your Griffith University ID. You will need a valid S-Number to access the University Portal, order a parking permit, access library resources, printing and Wi-Fi on campus.

It will be your username you take with you to Griffith University.

To activate your S-Number, please follow this guide.

Note: The link you receive to activate your S-Number has an expiry. If you go to activate your S-Number and the link does not work, this is because it has expired. In this case, please call the Griffith Uni Digital Solutions team on (07) 3735 5555 to get your link and password reset.

Griffith College staff cannot reset S-Number passwords. You will need to contact Griffith Uni: (07) 3735 5555 or ITHELP@griffith.edu.au.

International Students

Do you have your USI Number?

The USI (Unique Student Identifier) is a lifelong education number for all international higher education students. It’s free, easy to create and stays with you for life.

Without your USI, you won’t be able to graduate.

Creating a USI is easy and won’t take long. Once you have been granted your visa and have arrived in Australia, make sure to get this done as soon as possible.

Important: You must land in Australia and go through customs before you can create a USI.
